It doesn't replace real world conferences. It supplements them, allowing you focus on your precious time on the most important conferences.

weSRCH is also a trade journal that keeps you up to date with news, trends, and events. Unlike a trade journal, you get to talk back and air your views.
Our approach with weSRCH is unique. We are researchers ourselves who have developed extensive database and web technology to solve our problems (not web programmers or freshly minted MBAs looking to make a fast buck). One day we realized that our problems were yours: that we needed a more organized web where we could have information delivered to us, rather than have to search for it. Deciding to share it and make it open was what really got weSRCH going. We do all of this by applying the technical capability of Web 2.0. Some call this social networking. Some call it Science 2.0. We prefer to call it a virtual science forum professional networking and that is our goal.
